Chocolate Pudding: microfiction

The king of the whole world was perplexed.

He had lived on obliviously through the drought, flood, and famine that ended with obesity rates soaring. (Experts believe it was mostly water weight)

He had lived on, eating his mountains of chocolate pudding, as nutty people declared themselves experts for no reason, and cooks began replacing chocolate with mud. (Which the flood left behind plenty of)

He realised something was wrong when the pigs of the land complained that there was no mud left to roll around in.

The king of the whole world felt oddly muddy, so the experts advised him to go eat some delicious chocolate pudding to cheer himself up.

That fixed it.

  1. I like where you’re going in general, veering towards more absurdist writing. It’s nice to see the transition over the pieces recently. Love it!
