Stares: microfiction

“I cannot handle all the stares anymore!” I said. “All because I wanted to be different. They start and then they go on forever.”

“I’m just so tired,” I continued. “My entire body hurts. I told you not to move here.”

I flopped down on the sofa and sighed.

He looked at me disapprovingly. “I like the view from up here, okay? Just the take the elevator next time and for the love of God, learn to spell.”
