Dawn: a poem

the dawn that breaks

the sky into two

that vomits up a whole lot of sun

that floods the sky like an exceptionally angry tsunami

pushes the dark into corners and crevices

where it hides and trembles with fear

the rays that hit the planet, slicing away at the unwary night

enveloping the stars with its raging embrace

the dawn that breaks

the new beginning

is a quiet sort of violent.
